I was a little skeptical if mosquito treatment would actually work to reduce those blood thirsty pests. I saw one of Mosquito Hunter's signs and decided to give them a call. Josh came out and explained the process and they had a introductory treatment special. I thought why not give it a try and see. After the initial treatment, there were vastly fewer mosquitos. Even though my neighbors didn't do it, and that would be ideal if they would, it has been worth it so far. Now if I can get something done about the miserable yellow flies, we'll have our backyard free to ourselves again. I rarely have time to write any reviews but Josh has been great and it is a veteran owned company so it is definitely worth my time to support a local business. ~ Wavshrdr

*** two week update *** The invasion is over. I have no spiders, no millipedes/centipedes, or any of the creepy crawlers that were building nests and spinning webs all over my house. I have my back porch back and can’t sing their praises loud enough. Inside the house and garage we haven’t seen a bug since they treated. No more worry when poking my hands around stuff in the garage anymore. Very happy. *** Original review: I can’t recommend Mosquito Hunters enough. They were quick to respond and quick to schedule. They were here in less than 24hrs. Robby, the tech that came out, was super friendly and incredibly professional. He was thorough in explaining Avery thing he was doing and what the process was and took his time and was thorough in all the work. Ide recommend to anyone in the area. ~ Michael K

I am so impressed with Mosquito Hunters. I live in a home with a yard that must attract mosquitos. My kids are always getting bites and I’ve tried several other companies with no success in truly eliminating them. After a bit of research and a call with the owner here in Jacksonville, Florida we were set for an event spray. I was skeptical because rain was on the way and I knew it would just wash away the product. However, they assured me the product they use doesn’t rinse away after applied. It actually sticks onto the areas where these mosquitos live and breed. My son had an outdoor waterslide party 3 days after the spray and there wasn’t a mosquito in sight! I signed up today for consistent treatments and will highly recommended them to anyone searching for a solution to their mosquito problems. ~ Samantha P

I receive general pest and mosquito control from Mosquito hunters. So far they have been extremely excellent. Robby is my technician and he is always extremely kind and courteous. He does an excellent job, texts me 30 minutes prior to his arrival, and is always on time each month. He has even left a treat for my kids like bubbles or a biscuit for my dog. Overall the experience has been excellent and I have not been bitten by a single mosquito or seen a single insect since they have been spraying and we are outside all the time. I also love that the company is veteran owned being a vet myself. Overall I highly recommend, awesome company that is highly efficient and has superior customer service. Thanks! ~ Nicole L

It feels good to be outside and be mosquito free. Mosquito Companies seem to be growing on Northeast Florida, so you have choices. So I compared a few. Prices are comparable and the products they use are similar to. What made the decision easy for me was the following, no contract, locally owned by a Marine Veteran, and the customer service I received from the the owner made it a easy choice. It was a quick and easy process to setup service thanks to the owners wife. Had my 1st service and I was amazed by the amount of communication you receive from the technician. William our technician was very informative and very thorough in applying the spray. We just put in a pool and we couldn't be happier that we are sitting poolside and don't have to worry about Mosquitos. So what are you waiting for, call 904-800-1585 to setup service. ~ Cory Z

On behalf of Kevin and Monica Huggins in St Augustine (we do not have a google account), we highly, HIGHLY, recommend Mosquito Hunters. Why? Well, a few reasons: 1) we live against a preserve; 2) while the county comes around with their truck to spray for mosquitos, this isn't even close to enough. Perhaps it is for some residents but it isn't for us at all; 3) we have a pool with no cage and this is definitely a double edged sword - we do not want a cage; therefore, we need more help in deterring the mosquitos; 4) most importantly, Mosquito Hunters has always done a superb job no matter the technician (we've had experiences with Ryan and William). Truly, we cannot imagine spending as much time as we do outside of Mosquito Hunters didn't help us. Signed, a Latino family whose blood mosquitos adore (ha ha ha). ~ Keelin H

Josh listened to my issue on the phone, and then remembered what I had said when he arrived and did his best to address my areas of concern. They also went above and beyond and disposed of some traps for me. In addition I asked them not to spray one tree because it had a birds nest in it, and even though trees breed mosquitoes, and this might reduce the effectiveness of the service, they understood why I didn’t want it sprayed and didn’t spray it. While I wish they had something for ridding the bugs that had gotten inside my home already, the outside ones do seem to have been eliminated for now, which is a huge relief. We've received pest control services from Mosquito Hunters over the past six months and have to say that we've been very pleased. We've seen a drastic reduction in bug activity in our yard since our service began. My hydrangeas and I both thank you! As far as the customer service goes, it's been beyond what we could've wished for and consistent with each technician. Ryan, Robby, Mike, Brandon, William, and Tyler have all visited and been communicative, professional, courteous, and very thoughtful. What other modern-day company will leave your dog a biscuit after a service? I would definitely recommend this locally/veteran owned business if anybody is in the market. ~ Maegan C

I wanted to update my review of Mosquito Hunters after having experienced absolutely the best customer service today. I asked Josh if we could come at his earliest convenience for my next treatment as I was going to spend a lot of time in the back patio in the next week…. Not only was he quick to respond, he came out personally the next day (a Saturday) to treat my home. Along with having an effective product…….Josh shows the commitment , kindness, and personal touch it takes to be a successful company! Robby has been coming to our home with mosquito hunters for about 6 months or more and has been doing a phenomenal job. He is in constant contact with his arrival time or weather delays and shows up as he says. I cannot think Robbie nor mosquito hunters enough for the great work that they're doing to keep our yard as bug free as possible. And as a side note, Robby was kind enough to pull our trash cans up to the house on trash day when he arrived as I was working and had not been able to retrieve them at that point. I appreciate not only the professionalism but the courtesy that he exudes not only in his work but also in his care for his customers. Thank you Robby!! ~ william s

UPDATE 2/15/23: We have been using Mosquito Hunters for a little while now and I have nothing but wonderful things to say. Tyler and Robbie are incredibly professional every time they come out. For someone who seems to attract mosquitos year round, continuing service through the "off season" has been the best decision!! I can't say enough great things about this company! ___ I've known Josh for a number of years and can attest to his dedication to doing things the right way. His attention to detail sets him apart. I just moved to my house from Fort Lauderdale to Saint Augustine and there were so many mosquitoes so I called Mosquito Hunters. Unbeknownst to me I had mosquitos, midges, and no seeum. I could not get out of my car without being attacked. I called Mosquito Hunters and Josh sent out Robby immediately. I cannot tell you how much I appreciate the service, professionalism, attentiveness, and most importantly the help. I am very happy I happen to see the advertisement signs on County Road 13. I highly recommend the service. An update 8.9.2022- My daughter and son-in-law came by my house today to drop off a package. I asked them both separately how are the bugs? The mosquitoes?? They both independently said what bugs?? There are no longer any ?? Even though we have had rainy terrible weather, we can walk outside and there are no mosquitoes , midges or bugs. We've been really impressed with Mosquito Hunters! Their friendliness, reliability, and the results of their work have been wonderful. Although we haven't used out back yard as much as we'd like this summer due to travel and weather (so much rain...), we haven't even seen any mosquitos since the Mosquito Hunters began treating our yard. In fact, one of the biggest problems we used to have was the front door. There were always so many mosquitos on and around our front door that it was almost impossible to go in/out the door without letting some in. Inevitably, we'd find mosquitos throughout the house and were occasionally bitten while we slept. Since Mosquito Hunters began treatments, we haven't seen any mosquitos around our front door and, more importantly, in our house! On a side note, I really appreciate that it's a family run, local business and that the owner's dad came out of retirement to serve as a technician. Mosquito Hunters are the REAL DEAL!! I have used others but no doubt they are the BEST in the business!! Andy, the office manager is amazing! Mosquito Hunters has been phenomenal! Our family spends so much time outside and we were being eaten alive by all the mosquitoes. But since we started using their service, we haven’t seen a single one! Even with all this humid, rainy hot weather! Our technician is Robby and he’s wonderful! He’s always incredibly friendly! I do not know what they are using but I am floored by how well a once a month treatment has seemingly fought back mosquitos in my yard almost completely. We were so concerned when we took down our screen enclosure that the mosquitos would be unbearable but they are virtually gone. I have waited a year for the full review because I was certain the treatment wasn't going to work long term but I am so glad I was wrong. We won this service for the whole season! Yea!! It could not have come at a better time. Two days later, our grandkids, who are highly allergic to mosquito bites, came to visit, and we had a fantastic “bug free” time playing outside and enjoying the great weather during their spring break. As for the service, Robby Mayben was quite professional. He went over everything he was going to do. We talked about the fruit trees, the herbs and the veggie garden and he knew beforehand what to expect. He donned his mask and went to work. The true test was that, while I am normally the decoy for my wife, the grandkids usually get them before me, and none of us got the first mosquito bite! Oh, and by the way, our backyard nature preserve backs up to 12 Mile Swamp! One more thing: before the Jacksonville Spring Home Show, we had never heard of them before. Mosquito Hunters did an amazing job on my house. We had a lot of mosquitoes at the front door and it was always uncomfortable to sit on the balcony at the end of the day or receive guests. There were always a lot of mosquitoes 🦟 on the lanai screen and that attracted the lizard 🦎 Mosquito Hunters has done away with these problems. We no longer have mosquitoes on the property and we no longer see lizards on the lanai screen. William is always very kind and attentive. I strongly recommend Mosquito Hunters. ~ Eveline G

We use Mosquito Hunters prior to every large event at our home. We have over 100 tropical plants which we love. The mosquitos and no-see-ums also love them. Each treatment virtually guarantees that flying insects are not a problem for our guests. MH technicians arrived on time and were super friendly and knowledgeable. Mosquito Hunters’ level is service is second to none! Their “Happiness Promise” is real! Devin came out when his shift was done on Friday to get those pesky no seeums out of my yard. I have a huge yard with a lot of flower beds and a pond. It’s a challenge to fight these pests. And I get to enjoy my yard like I’ve never enjoyed it before. Robert Mayban is fantastic! We live in the woods so the Mosquito's were bad. Receiving a quote was so easy, his service has been top notch. He was accommodating when I had a specific request. He even helped and picked up the glass cat food bowl that broke while we were out of town. Thank you Robert! The cost was less than our previous service but seemed more effective. Came across Mosquito Hunters at the Home and Patio show. I had been looking for a pest control company that could meet my needs (bug, finicial, time, etc) amd after talking with Nicole Ambrose I believed they would be a perfect fit. I went down to there booth ready to sign up and pay for my first service and bam, as luck would have it, I spun the wheel and won a first service for free! I was STOKED. Now I didn't have to spend money to see what I thought. 1 week later it was my first service. My tech was Robby Mayber(I also met him at the home show!), he was very knowledgeable, extreemly thorough, and spent more than an adequate amount of time inside and outside of my home. When he left, my husband even said how impressed he was with the service we recieved(he's not as easy to impress as I am). The next day we started seeing upside down palmetto bugs. Our service, from the first moment of interaction to the results from the treatment, was beyond our expectations. Needless to say I am sooooo happy with Mosquito Hunters and they are our new go to for all of our bug issues! ❤️ ~ Heather H
